Plan, design, and develop new plastic injection moulds as per product and production requirements.
Handle plastic mould making, modification, repair, and preventive maintenance.
Prepare and execute VMC programming for cores, cavities, inserts, sliders, and other mould components.
Operate and supervise VMC, milling, surface grinding, EDM, drilling, and mould fitting operations.
Design and modify moulds using SolidWorks / CAD software.
Study and interpret product drawings, shrinkage, draft angles, tolerances, and mould concepts.
Conduct mould trials, sampling, and troubleshooting (flash, short shot, warpage, sink marks, etc.).
Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for mould trials and approvals.
Monitor mould life, breakdowns, and spare parts; ensure timely corrective actions.
Maintain mould documentation, drawings, maintenance records, and tool history.
Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and quality standards in the tool room.
Supervise and guide tool room technicians and mould fitters.
Coordinate with external mould vendors, if required.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce rejection, downtime, and tooling cost.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Strong experience in plastic injection moulds (single/multi-cavity, hot runner, cold runner).
Hands-on expertise in VMC programming and operations (no CNC).
Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD.
