Job Description Summary
Perform the daily operations of the Tool room in line with ISO:90001 & ISO:19443 along with the SQDC approach to achieve shift-wise targets as per Machining inputs & standard work. Contributes to team efforts in accomplishing the organizational goals.
Your Role:
- Follow site EHS procedure and nuclear safety awareness.
- Report any stop work or concerns related to EHS & quality.
- Understanding of nuclear safety culture and ITNS-I & A (Important to Nuclear Safety- Item & Activity).
- Review and understanding of machining documents like MOPs, SOPs, drawings, KSL, program files, Tool sheets, and FMEAs.
- Receive material from suppliers after primary inspection.
- Ensure inward of received material in Tool Inventory software.
- Create a location for material and put it in a designated place.
- Ensure traceability of material on a daily basis.
- Perform tool assembly as per the tool sheet and ensure timely availability of tools on the machine.
- Ensure error-proof assembly and check dimensions required as per the tool sheet on the
Zoller machine
. - On-job support during issues in production like cutting parameters, tool deflections, vibrations, finishing issues, tool life, etc..
- Inventory management and identify shortages of routine items and inform for repeat orders.
- Maintain the tool issue record in the logbook and
TMGP software
. - Ensure smooth communication between shifts through the daily logbook.
- Maintain tool breakage records.
- Knowledge of usage of measuring instruments, error checks, and its application.
- Knowledge of cutting tools & its application, troubleshooting of the machine, and understanding of CNC programs & manual programs.
- Lean approach likes
5s, TPM, Kaizen
, etc., and maintain a safe & clean workplace. - Teamwork and Coordination with the fellow operator team & cross-functional team for uninterrupted Production.
- Support the machine shop team.
Basic Qualifications (Requirements):
- ITI- Machinist / Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
- Min 5-year experience in the Tool room for cutting tools (
Turbine/Generator
). - Basic computer skills.
- Detailed knowledge of
Zoller, Kardex, Shrink fit machine
. - Knowledge of cutting tool assembly and accessories.
- Knowledge of cutting tool applications and basic of programming or machine operation.
