Design, develop, and modify tools, jigs, dies, molds, and fixtures using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Operate and supervise the use of tool room machinery such as milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, CNC machines, and EDMs.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tooling to reduce downtime and ensure longevity.
Maintain tool inventory, ensuring availability and traceability of all tools and components.
Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to address tooling issues or enhancements.
Troubleshoot tooling issues on the shop floor and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all tool room activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Maintain detailed documentation for all tool designs, repairs, and changes.
Support new product development with rapid prototyping and tool fabrication.
