Title Fleet Manager

We are currently seeking a Fleet Executive / Manager to oversee the transportation operations of our company. As a leading construction company with a nationwide presence in India and our headquarters situated in Alibaug, we are looking for a candidate to join our team at the Alibaug Head Office in the role of Executive - Logistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of logistics including warehouse management, transportation, Custom House Agent (CHA) liaison, and customer services. This role will involve closely monitoring and following up with drivers and supervisors to ensure timely movement of containers and maintaining accurate records of cargo movement. Additionally, the candidate will be required to address any issues or complaints that may arise and collaborate with other departments to streamline procedures and operations. Key responsibilities will include preparing and verifying shipment documentation for outbound freight, managing the vendor database, organizing transportation documents and reports efficiently, and generating billing details for approval by the reporting manager. Continuous monitoring of transport movements until the vehicle reaches its destination will also be part of the job scope. The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in handling logistics and transportation operations. A graduate degree with a postgraduate qualification in operations or Supply Chain Management will be preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits such as cell phone reimbursement, leave encashment, and Provident Fund. The work schedule may involve day shifts as well as rotational shifts.
