Safety & Quality Officer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Safety Responsibilities: Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies. Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for workers and subcontractors. Identify unsafe conditions and practices and implement corrective actions immediately. Maintain safety records, incident logs, PPE issuance registers, and risk assessments. Ensure fire safety, scaffolding safety, and machinery/equipment safety at site. Coordinate during emergency drills and health/safety audits. Liaise with local safety officers, consultants, and labor inspectors as needed. Quality Responsibilities: Monitor ongoing construction work for quality in materials, workmanship, and finishing. Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and IS codes. Conduct site inspections for RCC, brickwork, plastering, tiling, waterproofing, etc. Coordinate with third-party agencies for material testing and report validation. Maintain QA/QC documentation, site inspection checklists, and daily quality logs. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and vendors to ensure timely corrective actions. ✅ Candidate Requirements Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Safety Management. 3–7 years of experience in construction safety and quality roles. Knowledge of IS Codes, NBC, and applicable safety regulations. Certification in safety (like NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar) is a plus. Strong observation, documentation, and reporting skills. Languages: Fluent in Hindi and Marathi; basic English preferred.
