Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a TIG Welder, located in Chennai (Kattupalli - L&T Shipyard).

The TIG Welder will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various ship components and structures. Daily responsibilities include preparing materials, reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, executing welding according to specifications, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and maintaining welding equipment. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and methods
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience in operating welding equipment and tools
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging environments.
• Experience in maritime or ship repair industry is a plus
• Relevant welding certifications and qualifications
• Candidate must clear Test Run conducted at Yard. Employment confirmation will be based in the test result.
