Job Description

Role:

TGT Language Teacher (English / Hindi / Kannada)

Role Definition:

The Language Teacher is responsible for developing students’ language proficiency, communication skills, and literary understanding at the middle and secondary school levels. The role focuses on effective curriculum delivery, learner-centered pedagogy, continuous assessment, and fostering critical thinking, creativity, and cultural appreciation in alignment with CBSE standards and the school’s academic vision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA / B.E.) in the relevant subject or discipline.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – Mandatory.
  • Eligibility as per CBSE norms for TGT/PGT Teachers.
  • Strong subject knowledge and proficiency in the respective language.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and assessment practices.
  • Basic computer skills for lesson planning, assessments, and academic reporting.

Tasks & Activities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English / Hindi / Kannada as per the CBSE curriculum and academic calendar.
  • Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills through structured and interactive teaching methods.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Use age-appropriate teaching strategies, including storytelling, debates, role-plays, presentations, and creative writing.
  • Encourage reading habits, vocabulary development, and appreciation of literature and language culture.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide remedial instruction and academic support where required.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and board-aligned evaluations.
  • Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Integrate technology and teaching aids to enhance language learning experiences.
  • Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, and professional development programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning and academic consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.
  • Assist in organizing literary activities such as debates, elocution, storytelling, assemblies, and language clubs.
  • Uphold school policies, CBSE norms, and ethical teaching standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

  • Chitradurga, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • CBSE Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
