Job Description

As a Testing & Validation Engineer at Vecmocon, your role will involve testing and integrating electric vehicle sub-systems. Your expertise in electrical engineering fundamentals and practical experience in testing will be crucial in collaborating with the R&D team to develop innovative solutions for electric vehicle batteries, ensuring top-notch safety, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: - Understand project requirements and electrical schematics for integrating and testing Battery Management Systems (BMS), chargers, and IoT devices for electric vehicles at both bench and vehicle levels. - Conduct testing, collect and analyze Controller Area Network (CAN) data, ensure protocol adherence, generate test reports, and provide feedback to the R&D team. - Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), create and implement test plans for performance validation. - Analyze data to identify areas for enhancement and optimize system performance. - Offer technical support, troubleshoot issues at customer sites, and train customer technicians on utilizing Vecmocon software and tools. - Willingness to travel to customer sites for integration and testing. Key Skills: - Solid understanding of Electrical and Electronics fundamentals. - Proficient in documentation tools like Word and Excel. - Hands-on experience with CAN communication and testing tools such as multimeter and Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO). - Proficiency in English communication, excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Basic experience in soldering (Surface Mount Technology/Through-Hole Components). - Ability to interpret schematics. Nice To Have Skills: - Knowledge of battery management systems, including cell balancing, voltage and temperature monitoring, and fault protection. - Familiarity with various types of batteries and components. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics. - Preferred industry experience in Automotive electronics, IoT, Inverters, Chargers, or Solar technologies.
