About the Role

Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute

  test plans, test cases, and test scripts

  .
• Conduct

  manual testing

  including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Perform

  automation testing

  using tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright (if required).
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as

  JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla

  .
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to analyze requirements and ensure test coverage.
  
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes before release.
  
• Perform

  API testing

  using Postman or similar tools.
• Participate in test strategy planning, risk analysis, and quality assurance processes.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and automation frameworks.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of

  software testing methodologies

  (SDLC, STLC).
• Experience with manual testing across web or mobile applications.
  
• Basic understanding of test automation tools and scripting languages.
  
• Familiarity with

  API testing

  , JSON, and RESTful services.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  
• Good understanding of requirements analysis and test design techniques.
  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with automation tools like

  Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright

  , or similar.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
  
• Understanding of

  SQL

  for database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD pipelines

  and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of mobile testing, cross-browser testing, or device testing.
  

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
