Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Testing Engineer to support a wide range of validation activities in our Automotive Test Laboratory. The role includes executing mechanical, electrical, vibration, and environmental tests to ensure product compliance with quality and durability standards across various automotive domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct component and system-level tests for automotive applications.
• Set up test benches and configure sensors for mechanical, electrical, and environmental validation.
• Operate and maintain test equipment such as vibration shakers, climate chambers, endurance rigs etc.
• Analyze data and ensure adherence to OEM and international test standards (IS, ISO, AIS, IEC, etc.).
• Document test procedures, observations, and generate comprehensive test reports.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, and quality teams to provide feedback for product improvements.
• Ensure safety protocols and ISO 17025 lab practices are followed consistently.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of automotive systems and validation methods.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment and sensors (accelerometers, load cells, thermocouples, etc.).
• Familiarity with data acquisition tools and test software (e.g., LabVIEW, LMS, Dewesoft).
• Good communication and report writing skills.
• Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience working with OEM or Tier-1 automotive suppliers.
• Exposure to NVH, vibration, or thermal shock testing.
• Exposure to OEM-specific durability testing protocols (e.g., Tata, JLR, VW, Hyundai).
