Test Engineer

To work as a test engineer performing testing activities for a project and implement industry standard testing
best practices and innovations.

• Act as the test engineer for development project, performing test identification, test design and test execution in both waterfall and agile based projects.
• Sound knowledge of test management tools and experience in systematically executing testing tasks using industry accepted best practices.
• Expertise in participating during the requirement gathering exercises, sprint planning / grooming sessions to collect the details of requirements.
• Implement best practices in different types of testing including System testing, Regression testing, End to End testing, API Testing, DB Testing etc.
• Must have experience with documenting test cases, defect reports, and status reports. Experience in writing test plan is a plus.
• Knowledge in automation testing using different automation test tools.
• Knowledge of performance testing, security testing etc. will be an added advantage.

• Interact with the customer to understand the requirements and get clarifications.
• Develop and execute test cases and track defects for the application under test.
• Implement industry best practices for system testing, regression testing, system integration testing etc.
• Testing of web application, mobile application, and APIs.
• Hand on-on experience in Webservice testing using tools like Postman or other comparable tools.
• Solid experience with test management tools.
• Hand-on experience in Database testing and good knowledge in SQL.
• Independently attend the Agile meetings with Agile teams (representing testing team) and provide status, raise issues and work to resolve issues.
• Experience in automation testing using different automation test tools.
• Work according to set organization and department related processes, procedures and policies.
• Identify and implement technical innovations that add value and improve applications and work processes.
• To Adhere to ISMS procedures and Policies.

• The candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and be team oriented.
• Innovative in proposing/implementing new ideas/processes.
• Highly motivated and self-starting, should have proactive approach to resolving issues and working with limited supervision.
• Ability to quickly learn new testing tools/technology and implement it effectively.
