Job Description

As a part of Micron Technology, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop automation solutions for material handling systems. You will create detailed engineering plans and specifications for automation projects and select appropriate hardware and software components for automation systems. Additionally, you will be required to develop and test control algorithms and software for automated systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams will be essential for integrating automation technologies into existing processes. You will also coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure automation equipment and components. Overseeing the installation and commissioning of automation systems and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure will be part of your role. Monitoring the performance of automated handling systems to ensure reliability and efficiency is crucial. You will analyze system data to identify areas for improvement and optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance. Developing and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules for automation equipment will also be one of your responsibilities. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems will be another key aspect of your role. You will diagnose and resolve issues related to automation hardware and software, as well as train and support maintenance and operations teams on the use of automation systems. Developing and maintaining troubleshooting guides and documentation will also be part of your duties. Maintaining accurate documentation of automation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, and preparing reports and presentations on automation projects and performance are important tasks. You will also need to ensure that automation systems comply with safety and environmental regulations, promote safe working practices, and implement sustainable practices in the design and operation of automation systems.
