Role Description

The Tendering and Billing Engineer will be responsible for precise cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and the management of all project billing activities. This role is critical in ensuring that project variations are documented and that billing reflects actual site progress to maintain healthy cash flow.

Core Responsibilities

1. Pre-Award & Tendering Phase

• Documentation Review:

  Perform an in-depth study of all tender documents and technical drawings.

• Quantity Take-off:

  Conduct accurate quantity take-offs to determine material and labor requirements.

• Cost Estimation:

  Prepare comprehensive cost estimates to support competitive and profitable bidding.

2. Post-Award & Billing Management

• Running Account (RA) Billing:

  Prepare and process running bills based on actual site progress.

• Claim Management:

  Identify and draft claims for variations, deviations, and extra items not included in the original contract.

• MIS & Records:

  Maintain an organized Management Information System (MIS) for all billing and cost-related records.

3. Site Coordination & Compliance

• Field Validation:

  Conduct site validations to ensure work completed matches billing submissions.

• Technical Coordination:

  Liaise with the site team to reconcile quantity estimations with physical measurements.

Required Skills:

• Advanced MS Excel: Used for complex formulas, data analysis, and creating billing formats.
• AutoCAD: Essential for reading and interpreting architectural/structural drawings and extracting measurement.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in interior projects and tendering.
