HR Telecaller South Zone

Location

Chennai (managing employees across South Zone)

Job Summary

An empathetic HR telecaller who reaches out to employees in the South Zone via phone, understands their issues in local languages (e.g., Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam), resolves or escalates grievances appropriately, and maintains MIS trackers for leadership review.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Outreach

    : Conduct

    inbound and outbound

    calls to employees in the South Zone to check well-being, understand grievances, and communicate HR updates, using local languages where needed.
  • Grievance Handling

    : Listen actively, empathize, counsel, and if necessary, escalate cases to the HR team with proper documentation of each case and suggested resolutions.
  • MIS & Reporting

    : Maintain daily/weekly updates of call logs, outcomes, unresolved issues, resolutions and escalations. Prepare and share

    MIS trackers

    with HR leadership.
  • Coordination

    : Work closely with the central HR teamshare insights on trends, request support from relevant stakeholders, and ensure smooth issue resolution.
  • Cultural Sensitivity

    : Communicate clearly and sensitively in employees' preferred South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam).
  • Call Targets & KPIs

    : Meet defined call volumes and quality metrics, while ensuring high employee satisfaction and adherence to communication guidelines.
  • Feedback Loop

    : Capture feedback trends and escalate systemic issues (e.g. policy gaps, manager-related concerns) to HR for action.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education

    : Bachelors degree or equivalent.
  • Experience

    : 1-4 years in Tele calling, customer service, or employee relations; experience handling employee queries/grievances is a plus.
  • Language Proficiency

    : Fluent in English plus at least one South Indian language (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam); Hindi knowledge is a bonus.
  • Technical Skills

    : Comfortable with MSExcel, Google Sheets, basic CRM or ERP tools for logging call data and generating MIS.
  • Communication Skills

    : Excellent verbal communication, active listening, empathy, and clarity in documentation.
  • Personal Traits

    : Patient, discreet with sensitive information, emotionally resilient and culturally aware.
  • Location Skillset

    : Ability to navigate differences across South Zone states, time zones, and working hours alignment.
