Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Tekla Detailer - AISC. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed structural steel shop drawings and erection plans, performing modeling and detailing using Tekla Structures, and ensuring adherence to AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) standards. You will coordinate with project teams, resolve design challenges, and maintain quality and accuracy in detailing. Collaboration with engineers, fabricators, and construction teams will also be a key part of this role to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Tekla Structures for steel detailing, with experience in creating 3D models, shop drawings, and erection plans
• Strong understanding of AISC standards and steel fabrication processes
• Skills in reviewing and interpreting structural drawings, contract documents, and design specifications
• Problem-solving and coordination skills to address design challenges and ensure project efficiency
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with excellent time management skills
• Collaborative communication skills for working with engineers, fabricators, and construction teams
• Previous experience in structural detailing projects; familiarity with BIM processes is advantageous
• Diploma/Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field is preferred
