Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hotel equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.) in accordance with established schedules.
Clean, replace, and service HVAC filters, heating units, and other critical hotel systems to ensure peak performance.
Regularly check and maintain backup systems such as generators and emergency lighting.
Provide prompt and effective repairs to malfunctioning systems and equipment across hotel departments, especially in guest rooms and high-traffic public areas.
Respond to emergency repair calls, troubleshoot issues such as plumbing leaks, power failures, or faulty air conditioning, and resolve them quickly.
Ensure that all guest room amenities and systems (TVs, lighting, plumbing, electrical outlets, etc.) are in good working order.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and meeting spaces.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management of tools and spare parts.
Assist in procuring new equipment or arranging for specialized repairs when necessary.
Work closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards, reporting any discrepancies or safety hazards to the Director of Engineering.
Perform regular safety checks to ensure all equipment and systems are safe for use by both staff and guests.
Maintain open and effective communication with the Director of Engineering regarding the status of ongoing maintenance projects and any emergency situations.
Collaborate with other hotel departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Front Desk, Food & Beverage) to address maintenance concerns and improve guest satisfaction.
Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance calls during and outside regular working hours, including handling critical system failures like plumbing backups or power interruptions.
Provide assistance during large-scale repairs or upgrades, coordinating with external contractors if required.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 1-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or large commercial facility.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing systems, and general hotel maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting abilities and familiarity with common hotel equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
