Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer at our company, your role is crucial in producing high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will be joining a team of talented tech writers who collaborate with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to enhance the usability of our products. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive documentation that adheres to organizational standards - Gain a deep understanding of products and services to simplify complex product information into clear, polished, and engaging content - Write user-friendly content tailored to meet the needs of the target audience, ensuring users are set up for success - Evaluate existing content and propose innovative approaches for enhancement - Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content in collaboration with different departments to meet project requirements - Independently gather information from subject matter experts to create procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation - Collaborate with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise content, and determine optimal solutions for data storage - Research, develop, and maintain information architecture templates that comply with organizational and legal standards, facilitating seamless data migration - Utilize various visual aids like photographs, drawings, diagrams, animations, and charts to enhance user understanding - Choose the appropriate medium for the message or audience, whether manuals or online videos - Collect usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers Qualifications Required: - Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with a focus on prioritization - Thorough understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) - Previous experience in Migration projects - Hands-on experience with JIRA & Confluence - Ability to quickly grasp complex topics - Previous experience in writing documentation and procedural materials for diverse audiences - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail - Experience collaborating with engineering to enhance user experience through design, UI, and refining content, as well as creating visuals and diagrams for technical support content Additional Company Details: - Educational Background: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field Your expertise in technical writing and content creation will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products are well-documented and user-friendly.
