Backup Administrator

Positions:

Technical Specialist L1 - Hyderabad - 4 Opening

Technical Specialist L1 - Pune - 4 Opening

Technical Specialist L2 - Pune - 2 Opening

Location: Hyderabad & Pune

Availability: Immediate Joiners Preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain backup solutions using NetBackup, Veeam, and Commvault.
• Perform daily health checks, backup job reviews, and troubleshooting of failed backups.
• Configure and maintain backup jobs for physical servers, VMs, databases, and cloud workloads.
• Maintain documentation related to backup configurations, procedures, and compliance reports.
• Work closely with storage, network, and application teams for backup planning and performance tuning.
• Manage restores and disaster recovery drills, ensuring data is recoverable in compliance with SLAs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience with

  Commvault

  .
• Understanding of data protection, retention, and recovery concepts.
• Experience with physical, virtual (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud (Azure, AWS) backups.
• Technically sound in troubleshooting backup failures and optimizing backup performance.
• Familiar with backup storage systems (e.g., tape libraries, deduplication appliances, NAS/SAN).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with backup and recovery of enterprise applications (e.g., SQL, Exchange, Oracle).
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy).
• Certifications in Commvault

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
