Technical Solution Architect

We are seeking a  Architect to help modernize legacy systems and manage technical debt across our organization. In this role, you will assess existing IT landscapes, design future-state architectures, and execute phased migration plans that enhance efficiency, security, and scalability—while minimizing business disruption. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure modernization initiatives align with strategic goals and leverage cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing, microservices, and automation.

 Key Responsibilities

 Obsolescence Assessment: Analyse legacy applications, infrastructure, and data flows to identify risks, technical debt, and compliance gaps.

• Modernization Strategy: Develop phased migration plans (rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring) aligned with Michelin’s business priorities and sustainability goals.
• Architecture Design: Create robust, cloud-ready, and modular architectures leveraging microservices, APIs, and automation.
• Integration & Data Migration: Ensure seamless integration between legacy and modern systems and oversee secure, consistent data migration.
• Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks related to obsolescence, including operational continuity and cybersecurity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Michelin’s business units, product teams, and global IT stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and introduce modernization accelerators, automation tools, and best practices.

 Qualifications

 A graduation or post-graduation degree in Computer Science.

• Overall, 12+ years technology experience with 3+ years in enterprise or solution architecture including experience in modernization projects.
• Strong knowledge of legacy technologies as well as modern stacks (Java, .NET, Linux, AIX , Oracle , postgreSQL , MySQL , Data stage , AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with architectural patterns (microservices, API-first) and Agile/DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to manage global stakeholders.
