About This Role

We are a Fine Jewelry Manufacturer serving Jewelry Retailers across the United States, and we're looking for a Technical Project Manager in India to lead the execution and delivery of technology solutions that solve real business challenges. This role sits at the intersection of business operations, process improvement, and technology. You will manage the lifecycle of technology initiatives from identifying needs, designing solutions, and leading development teams, to ensuring ongoing optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Developer Team Management

  • Manage remote development teams in India timezone with effective async communication
  • Run daily standups, sprint planning, and ensure consistent project delivery
  • Prevent requirement clarification delays through detailed documentation and proactive communication
  • Coordinate with outsourced developers to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • In the future, support hiring of in-house development team (working with leadership on technical interviews and team building)

Technical Requirements & Project Delivery

  • Take business needs and drill down into detailed technical requirements through proper discovery
  • Ask the right technical questions: What APIs need integration? How does the current workflow operate? What database tables are involved?
  • Translate business pain points into actionables, well-defined technical specifications
  • Manage the full project lifecycle: planning, requirements gathering, development coordination, timelines, and delivery
  • Example: Take "automate our approval process" and conduct the technical discovery (workflow mapping, integration requirements, system analysis) needed to create a complete implementation plan for developers

Stakeholder Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams
  • Gather technical requirements from internal team members (which buttons they use, what tables are linked, current processes)
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and customer experience teams to understand workflows
  • Document features with clear specifications for both developers and business stakeholders

System Integration & Process Improvement

  • Understand and work with our tech stack (AI tools, ERP systems, APIs, databases, integrations)
  • Oversee integration of new features into existing systems with minimal disruption
  • Focus on solutions that enhance customer experience through streamlined operations

What We're Looking For:

Technical & Development Background

  • Previous software development experience preferred - you need to be able to communicate effectively with developers
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Business Central preferred) or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Strong grasp of core systems concepts (databases, APIs, integrations)
  • Proven ability to design and deliver technical solutions that solve business problems
  • Self-taught learner who can quickly master new technologies and explain them simply

Project Management & Leadership

  • Proven experience with sprint planning, agile methodologies, and development team coordination
  • Experience making resource-conscious technology decisions
  • Track record of preventing project delays through proactive communication and clear requirements

Communication & Business Acumen

  • Native-level English (written & verbal) for US stakeholder communication
  • Ability to gather technical requirements from non-technical business stakeholders
  • Basic accounting knowledge (Balance Sheet, P&L) preferred
  • Manufacturing or B2B background is a plus

Independent worker who takes initiative and drives projects forward without heavy oversight

Things were NOT looking for

PMs without hands-on technical experience who can't communicate effectively with developers

Candidates who can't explain complex technical concepts simply

Individuals who are uncomfortable keeping team members accountable

Compensation & Benefits

Standard Schedule

  • Monday - Friday: 09:00 AM - 3:30PM & 8:30 PM - 10:30 PM Indian Standard Time.
  • The working days will follow the US calendar
