Job Description

Role Overview: As a Technical Programme Manager at our company, you will be responsible for delivering complex, cross-functional technology programmes that support colleagues and enhance customer service. Your role will involve collaborating with Product, Engineering, and business colleagues to lead the programme efficiently. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of value quickly and effectively throughout the programme lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver complex Infrastructure programmes with multiple business and technical risks, impacting key Tesco business priorities. - Create and maintain a detailed plan to achieve programme goals, including the technical implementation plan, while keeping colleagues and stakeholders informed. - Manage risks and issues on the programme by implementing strategies to resolve or mitigate them. - Utilize your experience and influencing skills to drive consensus with Engineering and Product teams on hardware and infrastructure delivery trade-offs for optimal value and technical solutions. - Anticipate potential risks and issues, establish processes, facilitate discussions, and manage escalations effectively. - Understand technical architecture to foresee dependencies, delivery timelines, and implementation impacts. - Possess knowledge of engineering best practices and practical infrastructure implementations to address delivery challenges. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define annual budgetary requirements. - Communicate with stores and colleagues to coordinate programme deliveries while balancing delivery and store trading. - Foster positive stakeholder relationships to ensure the delivery of software or professional services, and hold them accountable for delivery and improvement plans. - Contribute to the Workplace Technology Team's centre of excellence by actively participating in ways of working and aiming for excellence. - Engage with the TPM community to share insights and best practices. Qualifications Required: - Proficient in Programme/ITSM Methodologies. - Skilled in Managing Risk and Programme Governance. - Demonstrated Business Awareness and strong Communicating and Influencing abilities. - Experience in Data Analytics and insight interpretation. - Ability in Strategic thinking, problem-solving, Finance, and Procurement. - Comfortable with Embracing and Enabling Change, Curiosity, and Learning. - Knowledge of Core Technology, Product Methodologies, and Retail Technology Awareness. - Understanding of Development Life-cycle.
