Job Requirements Roles and responsibilities: Provide technical leadership to a complex tasks high performing FEA team. A technical leader. Do hand calculations leveraging a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals. Performing steady state and transient thermal, structural and thermo-mechanical analysis. Do analytical calculations of bolted/welded constructions. Understand and define contacts, conducting nonlinear analysis, vibration analysis, buckling analysis, etc. Thorough understanding of high-cycle fatigue (HCF), low-cycle fatigue (LCF), creep, and fracture mechanics. Drive technical solutions and engage in reviews with both internal and external customers. Writing of analysis reports and certification reports. Ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries for complex development projects. Have a solutioning mindset and approach to work. Work Experience Required Skills and Experience: Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with 6 to 18 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) especially in turbomachinery domain. Strong fundamental in Finite element methods and solid mechanics. Experience in product design of turbomachinery i.e., Gas turbine, steam turbine will be preferred. Experience in performing static/dynamic, transient, linear and non-linear thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis of gas turbine static & rotating components (eg: blades, vanes, rotor, casings etc.,) using commercial software such as Ansys (Classic/Workbench), Abaqus and APDL. Experience in performing strength assessment as per ASME BPV Sec VIII Code. Experience in Rotor dynamics is an added advantage. Performing low cycle fatigue, high cycle fatigue and detailed fracture mechanics assessments of Gas turbine static & rotating components.
