Technical Lead

As a Technical Lead at Zywave, you will utilize your expertise in PHP, Python, and AWS to lead the development of scalable web applications and cloud-native solutions. Your role involves guiding a high-performing technical team, architecting robust systems, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across multiple projects. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications using PHP and Python. Collaboration with product managers, designers, and QA engineers is essential to build impactful, scalable solutions. You will define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and efficient development workflows while conducting code reviews, mentoring team members, and fostering a strong engineering culture. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across front-end, back-end, and cloud environments will also be part of your role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 8 years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role. Your experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) and Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) will be crucial, as well as a deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, and IAM. Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Git is required. Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills are essential, along with familiarity with serverless architecture, microservices, and DevOps practices and tools. Mandatory skills for this role include PHP, Python, AWS, and Git, while good-to-have skills encompass Go, React/Vue.js, and Prompt Engineering.
