Position: Technical IT Recruiter

Location: Chennai

Geakminds is a fast-growing technology services firm providing software development, DevOps, infrastructure management, networking, QA automation, cloud consulting, and AI/ML solutions to clients globally. We work on both project-based delivery and staff augmentation models, often with aggressive hiring timelines.

To support this growth, we are looking for a Technical Recruiter who can operate under pressure, build scalable sourcing strategies, and deliver relevant, high-quality technical talent across multiple roles and domains.

Were looking for a strategic and execution-focused recruiter who knows how to:

  • Deliver when 5 urgent roles come in at once
  • Find the right balance between speed and quality
  • Build a repeatable and scalable sourcing engine

You should have hands-on experience hiring for varied technical roles like:

  • Software Developers (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, .NET, etc.)
  • DevOps & Cloud Engineers (e.g., Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
  • QA Automation Engineers (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, API Testing)
  • Infrastructure & Network Engineers
  • Data Engineers / Analysts / ML Engineers (optional but a bonus)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own full-cycle technical recruitment from intake to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with project managers, delivery leads, and founders to understand hiring needs and plan sourcing strategy.
  • Manage urgent, high-volume hiring cycles.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines using a mix of:
  • Job boards (Naukri, LinkedIn)
  • Referrals
  • GitHub / Stack Overflow (for mid/senior technical talent)
  • WhatsApp/Telegram/Slack tech groups
  • Hiring communities and niche platforms
  • Ensure a great candidate experience and act as a brand ambassador.
  • Track recruitment KPIs source-to-screen ratio, time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, etc.

What Were Looking For:

  • 3 - 5 years of technical recruitment experience (agency or in-house).
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring across diverse technology domains.
  • Excellent sourcing skills using job boards, Boolean search, and GitHub/Stack Overflow for advanced sourcing.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with any ATS (e.g., Zoho Recruit, BreezyHR, Lever, or others).

Experience recruiting for international clients (UK, US, Europe).
