Job Summary:

Role & responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing technical leadership to application development efforts to meet and or exceed client expectations.
  • Responsible for practicing Agile principle on project execution
  • Responsible for conducting effective requirement planning sessions and application design sessions with cross functional groups.
  • Responsible for leading and directing the technical tasks to the team.
  • Ensures successful end-end delivery of the project.
  • Proficient in RISK management.
  • Encourages collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members
  • Demonstrates a working understanding of both quality assurance and software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers, and project team members
  • Demonstrates a strong working understanding of industry best standards in software development and version controlling
  • Ensures the quality and low bug rates of code released into production Work with Engagement Manager on managing the team, projects and products of the Portfolio.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of overall experience in software development.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding and hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in agile software development using techniques such as scrum ceremonies, user stories, use cases, personas, scrum testing, unit testing, and dev ops
  • Technical and project management certifications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical skills and technical acumen. Ability to decompose high-level information into details on the one hand, and abstract up from low-level information on the other hand
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people, including executives, managers, end users, business customers, technical architects, developers, designers, PMO/program managers, and subject matter experts
  • Experience and competency with both agile and waterfall software development methodologies
  • Experience with different project management, reporting, user story, defect management and testing tools.
  • Experience working for large organizations, large programs, and cross-organizational initiatives
  • Experience working with PMO processes and reporting

Preferred Skills:

  • Technical or project management certifications.
  • Experience working in large organizations or cross-organizational programs.
  • Familiarity with PMO processes, reporting, and tools.
  • Ability to break down high-level requirements into detailed tasks and abstract low-level details to strategic insights.
