Technical Architect

Job Title:

• We have consolidated different teams and systems into one department. We have approximately 4 main development teams and a few more similar ones that are actively working on languages such as Go, C#,.NET. Some are already live while others are still defining road maps. You must be comfortable to deep dive and provide expertise on cloud infrastructure, micro services, APIs and domain driven design.

Key Stakeholders

• Product Owners, Architects, Developers, Testers and Business Analysts etc. And then Customer Applications departments Head of Product, Head of Digital Excellence and the department Director.

Basic Qualifications

• 14-19 years of experience in IT with at least 5+ years of experience as Technical Architect.
• Working experience on transactional/E-commerce/Web projects, from the inception to deployment, and well versed in the full domain driven design.
• Familiar with complex frontend and backend systems.
• Strong grasp of software design patterns and principles of reusable, maintainable code
• Experience working with AWS and a general understanding of cloud architecture
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and how to implement them effectively.
• Comfortable working across languagesGo is a highly desirable.
• Ability to give clear technical direction to development teams.
• Experience reviewing and challenging code written by others.
• Familiarity with working in environments where architecture decisions affect multiple teams and vendors
• Experience in AWS Cloud infrastructures, APIs etc.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics simply.
• Working knowledge of REST and SOAP webservices
• Able to identify critical issues and propose solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide development teams by explaining architectural decisions and how to implement them effectively.
• Conduct high-level code reviews to assure quality and maintainability.
• Validate use of AWS SDKs and ensure proper use of design patterns and best practices.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, offering practical input on what works well within the existing code base and what would require significant rework.
• Assist in strategic decisions by providing technical feasibility checks and suggestions.
• Review code delivered by external partners and offer constructive feedback.
• Perform technical proof-of-concepts (PoCs) when needed to validate design choices.
• Help document key decisions and architectural standards

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior technical role with architectural responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Prior experience guiding development teams and reviewing code.
