Job Description

Role Overview: As an Applications Development Senior Group Manager at our company, you will be responsible for leading a team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. Your main objective will be to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will need exceptional communication skills to bridge technology and business stakeholders, ensuring a high degree of visibility across the organization. Your role will involve guiding teams in building scalable, enterprise-level global applications and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and mentorship. Key Responsibilities: - Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, high availability, and concurrent programming - Cultivate and lead a high-performance engineering culture, championing a "technology-first" mindset and driving the adoption of engineering excellence principles - Manage and develop multiple teams to accomplish established goals, conduct personnel duties, and ensure adherence to best practices and processes - Prepare and present regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders - Drive the design and development of system architecture, enhance the quality of deliverables, and ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures - Monitor and manage approach/end results, budgeting, planning, policy formation, and contribute to future strategy - Research and resolve issues, provide recommendations, and escalate to senior management as needed - Lead disaster recovery plans, oversee testing, and provide permit-to-operate for new applications - Deliver staff forums, present news and updates, and contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes - Assess risk when making business decisions, drive compliance with laws and regulations, and create accountability for maintaining standards Qualifications: - 8-10+ years of managerial experience with demonstrated leadership, management, and development skills - Minimum 12 years of experience in leading globally distributed and large teams successfully - Experience with financial products and knowledge of industry and competitors" products and services - Strong expertise in driving complex program strategy and implementation - Project management, interpersonal, and communication skills with attention to detail Education: - Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
