Tech and Global Payments Director

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing a team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. Your main objective will be to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. You must have exceptional communication skills to bridge technology and business stakeholders effectively. Your role will also involve fostering a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and mentorship for the Services Tech Team in Chennai. Key Responsibilities: - Have a strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, high availability, and concurrent programming. - Cultivate and lead a high-performance engineering culture across diverse teams, promoting a "technology-first" mindset and driving the adoption of engineering excellence principles. - Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals, conduct personnel duties, and ensure team adherence to best practices and processes. - Prepare and present regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders. - Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with end-users, and enhance the quality of deliverables. - Ensure staff compliance with Citi documented policies and procedures, and maintain desktop procedures and supporting documentation. - Monitor and manage approach/end results, budgeting, planning, policy formation, and contribute to future strategy. - Lead disaster recovery planning, oversee testing, and provide permit-to-operate for new applications. - Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department. - Assess risk and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Qualifications: - 8-10+ years of managerial experience with demonstrated leadership, management, and development skills. - Minimum 12 years of experience in leading globally distributed and large teams successfully. - Experience with financial products and working knowledge of the industry and competitors" products and services. - Strong expertise in driving complex program strategy and implementation. - Project management, interpersonal, and communication skills with high attention to detail. Education: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - Master's degree preferred.,
