Job Description

The opportunity: As a Team Manager at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for leading software engineering teams focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Web & Desktop Applications and other solutions. In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to the end-to-end development of applications while engaging in dynamic and challenging assignments. How you'll make an impact: - Lead and mentor the Applications & Solutions team to ensure optimal performance, providing clear direction, motivation, and purpose. - Conduct performance evaluations, support career growth initiatives, and cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. - Assign and monitor resources efficiently to maximize deliverables globally. - Define guidelines, allocate project tasks, motivate team members, and monitor progress to achieve project milestones. - Oversee software engineering teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including architectural design, development, testing, integration, and post-release. - Energize and inspire technical teams to achieve their goals and promote a culture of continuous improvement. - Establish and enforce quality standards and performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle. - Act as the key contact for customers, manage stakeholder relations, and ensure effective communication with all parties involved. - Promote a safe working environment by supporting Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) measures within the team. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, while upholding Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Your Background: - Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years of experience in software engineering. - 2+ years of experience in a PMO or project coordination role. - Strong technical knowledge in application development. - Excellent understanding of Application Requirement refinement, Design, Development, Testing Requirements, Infrastructure/environment requirements, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Proficiency in MS Excel and project management tools. - Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Experience with cost forecasting and project reporting preferred. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
