Job Description

Role: Market Research Team Lead - Responsible for leading a team to generate insights into the automotive ecosystem, which will be used for strategic planning, product roadmap development, and business growth initiatives. The role also includes team management, capability development, ensuring adherence to all systems and processes, budget handling, etc. Responsibilities: Oversee the design and execution of primary secondary research to assess automotive market, segment dynamics and consumer trends. Monitor analyze emerging mobility trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic shifts impacting the automotive industry. Analyze competitor positioning, pricing go-to-market strategies. Ensure the delivery of market trend reports and forecasts through dashboards across segments geographies. Collaborate effectively with planning, marketing, and engineering teams to support business cases and strategic planning efforts. Manage third-party research agencies and data providers to deliver high-quality custom studies and syndicated reports. Present actionable insights to leadership through dashboards, presentations and executive briefs. Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional: Research Methodology Knowledge - Proficiency in qualitative quantitative Analytical skills - Ability to analyze data and derive meaningful insights. Expertise in creating impactful data visualizations using tools like MS PowerPoint Statistical Software Proficiency - MS Excel, SPSS or equivalent tools. Business Acumen - Strong understanding of business portfolios, financial metrics, and their implications. Behavioral: Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and develop team capabilities. Communication Skills: Verbal written, reporting, and presentation skills. Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect research findings with business implications and strategic goals. Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail and a research-oriented mindset. Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams (CFTs) across product planning, engineering, marketing, finance, etc. Self-Motivation: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
