Job Description

Position: Scientific Officer – Cytogenetics

Desirable Qualification:

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Human Genetics, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences

Desirable Experience:

2–3 years of hands-on experience in cytogenetic techniques

1. Chromosomal Analysis

blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, and POC (Products of Conception)

Preparation of reagents and media
Setting up and maintaining cell cultures
Harvesting cell cultures
Preparing and staining slides (e.g., G-banding or other staining techniques)
Microscopy and karyotype analysis

2. FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) Analysis

Perform FISH staining on
blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, POC, and tissue
samples
Analyze and interpret FISH results in compliance with laboratory standards and protocols
