Team Lead, Client Accounting

Role Overview: As a member of the Finance team at SIRVA, you will report to the Manager, Client Accounting. Your main responsibility will be to mentor and lead a team in managing and controlling the timely and accurate resolution of automation defects for customer expense claim processing for multiple global clients. This will involve following set guidelines and utilizing technology effectively. You will ensure that the team strictly adheres to the process using the Digital Policy Solution (DPS) and Rules Engine for claim processing through automation or manual auditing when necessary. Additionally, you will provide support to team members on internal customer inquiries, maintaining high levels of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the workload and priorities of other team members within the Expense management team. - Provide technical, accounting, and auditing support in complex areas as required. - Support cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of all updates for customer claims processing within strict SLA TAT. - Assist the Manager with special projects and process improvements. - Ensure strict adherence to customer claims audit controls and approval processes for manual creation or automation defect management. - Record all transactions accurately and timely in accordance with client SLAs. - Manage the team shared mailbox and supervise the team as needed. - Conduct data analysis to review productivity, adherence to SLAs, and turnaround times of transactions. - Follow up on open queries with CX teams for timely resolution and enhanced customer experience. - Resolve concerns and problems raised by team members and liaise with other internal departments for resolution. - Provide guidance to the team, identify training gaps, and work with the manager to address them. - Ensure SOPs remain updated and accurate. Qualifications Required: - Commerce/Business Graduate or equivalent combination of training and years of experience. - Minimum of 2+ years of people management experience. - Experience in supervising staff and managing team workloads effectively. - Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in the workplace. - Strong technological skills including proficiency in Windows, Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). - Ability to manage workload in a high-volume environment. - Highly motivated with a positive attitude and adaptable to change. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coach and develop others. - Process and control-oriented with the ability to enforce standard processes across the team.
