Teacher Intern

As a teacher intern at iTeach Schools, you play a crucial role in ensuring an excellent education for students from low-income communities in Pune and Navi Mumbai. iTeach was founded in 2015 with a mission to challenge the abysmal quality of school education available to these students and create a level playing field for all children. Your primary responsibility as a teacher intern is to support your mentor teacher in various aspects of classroom management and student engagement. This includes collaborating with your mentor teacher to design innovative annual plans, unit plans, and lesson plans. Additionally, you will co-teach in your mentor's classes, conduct regular assessments to monitor student learning progress, and provide constructive feedback to students. You will also assist your mentor teacher in maintaining effective student-parent communications and relationships. In addition to supporting your mentor teacher, you will also have the opportunity to mentor a group of 15-20 students throughout the internship period. Your role as a mentor involves working closely with these students to ensure they develop strong study habits, maintain high attendance, and are motivated to excel academically.
