Job Description

Junior Tea Taster

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily tea tasting sessions to evaluate
liquor, aroma, color, taste, and appearance
of teas.
Assist in
quality control and consistency checks
for raw, in-process, and finished tea products.
Support senior tea tasters in
blend development and optimization
.
Identify quality deviations and flag concerns related to
flavor profile, freshness, and defects
.
Maintain accurate tasting notes, records, and quality documentation.
Coordinate with
procurement, production, and quality teams
for feedback and corrective actions.
Support vendor sample evaluation and trial approvals.
Adhere strictly to
food safety, hygiene, and quality compliance standards
.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum
2 years of experience
as a Tea Taster / Tea Quality Executive.
Strong sensory skills with the ability to distinguish subtle flavor and aroma variations.
Exposure to
CTC / Orthodox / Green teas
will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of
tea processing, grading, and blending
.
Good documentation, observation, and communication skills.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a structured tasting environment.

Education

Bachelors degree in
Food Technology, Agriculture, Botany, or related field
(preferred but not mandatory).
