Tax Support Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax regulations.
• Support during tax audits, including the collection and preparation of required documentation and data analysis.
• Compile and maintain audit-related materials, including responses to tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and update tax governance workbooks, entity level and Corporate level including: Tax Risk Register, Uncertain Tax Positions Tracker, Significant Transactions Tax Impact Tracker, Tax Compliance Calendars.
• Support the maintenance and reporting of tax balances, including: Effective Tax Rates (ETRs) for each entity, Current Tax and Deferred Tax Balances.
• Coordinate with finance teams in multiple jurisdictions to ensure consistent and timely tax support and compliance.
• Assist in general tax governance activities, ensuring all internal policies and external regulations are adhered to.
• Help streamline tax-related processes and improve documentation standards across the tax function.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Tax specialization is a plus
• 1 to 8 years of relevant experience in tax compliance or tax accounting, preferably within a shared services or multinational environment.
• Good understanding of both direct and indirect tax concepts.
• Familiarity with tax governance frameworks and audit processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with financial systems (e.g., Infor ln, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and work with teams in multiple tax jurisdictions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
