About the Role

The Tax Operations team sits within the Transversal Lifecycle function of Global Market Operations (GMO) and provides end-to-end operational tax support across global markets. This includes managing transaction taxes, withholding taxes, and other local market taxes for multiple regions (APAC, EMEA, AMER). The role ensures compliance, controls, reporting, and smooth operations across financial products and business lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operational tax processes including:
  
• Stamp Duty Reserve Tax (SDRT)
  
• Financial Transaction Taxes (FTT)
  
• Stamp Duty, Sales Tax, Capital Gains Tax
  
• Withholding Tax (Reclaims, Vouchers, Certifications, Documentation lifecycle)
  
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory tax requirements
  
• Partner with Operations, Technology, Business, and other stakeholders for the Target Operating Model
  
• Reconcile instrument static vs market data and maintain accurate tax setup in systems
  
• Prepare weekly and monthly MIS and management reports, highlighting forward-looking risks
  
• Maintain a robust control environment, including timely resolution of breaks/exceptions, proactive escalations, and risk awareness
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  

• 5+ years of total experience

  3+ years in Operational Tax / Tax Operations

• Strong knowledge of:

• Withholding Taxes
  
• Global market tax rules and concepts
  
• Experience supporting global financial markets operations
