Trainee Talent Acquisition: Key Responsibilities

I. Sourcing & Screening

• Sourcing Support:

  Assist in identifying and sourcing candidates via

  LinkedIn, job boards, and professional networks

  . Maintain accurate records in the

  ATS

  . Conduct basic market research on talent pools.

• Candidate Screening:

  Review resumes and applications. Conduct initial phone screenings to assess

  basic qualifications, salary, and fit

  . Prepare candidate summaries for recruiters/hiring managers.

• Job Posting:

  Draft, format, and post job descriptions on internal and external career sites, ensuring

  accuracy and compliance

  .

II. Coordination & Administration

• Interview Scheduling:

  Coordinate and schedule interviews between all parties. Manage logistics for in-person, virtual, and remote setups.

• Candidate Communication:

  Serve as the main contact for applicants regarding status and logistics, ensuring a

  positive candidate experience

  . Send follow-up communication.

• Documentation:

  Ensure recruitment activities

  comply with laws/policies

  . Assist in preparing basic reports on metrics (e.g., time-to-hire).

III. Learning & Development

• Recruitment Skills:

  Develop proficiency in the

  ATS

  and sourcing tools. Learn effective

  Boolean search techniques

  .

• Process Understanding:

  Gain a working understanding of the

  end-to-end recruitment lifecycle

  . Shadow senior recruiters in intake meetings and candidate discussions.

• Stakeholder Interaction:

  Learn professional communication and engagement with hiring managers to understand their needs.
