Job Description

The Tailor is responsible for stitching, altering, repairing, and maintaining staff uniforms, guest garments (if applicable), and linen items to ensure a neat, professional appearance in line with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Stitch, alter, and repair staff uniforms as per size and requirement
Carry out hemming, fitting, resizing, and minor repairs
Maintain proper fitting standards for all uniforms
Repair torn linen, curtains, upholstery covers, and other fabric items
Measure employees accurately for new uniforms
Maintain tailoring equipment, sewing machines, and tools in good condition
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the tailoring and uniform room
Coordinate with the housekeeping department for uniform issuance and returns
Maintain records of uniform alterations and repairs
Follow hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in stitching and alteration techniques
Knowledge of different fabrics and sewing methods
Ability to operate sewing machines and hand-stitching tools
Attention to detail and neat finishing
Time management and multitasking skills

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum education: Basic schooling preferred
Certification or training in tailoring is an advantage
1–3 years of experience as a tailor (hotel or garment industry preferred)

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for long periods
Good hand-eye coordination
Ability to handle fabrics and equipment safely

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
