Role Overview

We are looking for a Tableau Administrator with hands-on experience in managing Tableau Server/Online environments and exposure to dashboard/report development. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Tableau administration tasks while also being able to contribute to data visualization development when required.

Key Responsibilities Tableau Administration (Primary Focus):

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Tableau Server/Online.
• Manage user accounts, groups, roles, and permissions.
• Perform license management and capacity planning.
• Monitor server health, performance, and scheduled jobs (extracts, refreshes).
• Troubleshoot server-related issues, ensure high availability and security.
• Handle backup, disaster recovery, and migration activities.
• Collaborate with IT/security teams for data governance & compliance.

Tableau Development (Secondary Exposure):

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop.
• Work with business teams to gather requirements and translate into visual solutions.
• Optimize dashboards for performance and usability.
• Implement calculated fields, LOD expressions, filters, and parameters.
• Ensure data accuracy by validating data sources and queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Tableau Administration.
• Hands-on exposure to Tableau Development (Desktop).
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with user/role management, server monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and Linux/Windows OS is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automation tools (Tabcmd, REST API, scripting).
• Knowledge of other BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, etc.).
• Exposure to ETL/data warehousing concepts.
