Systems Administrator

As the Single-Point of Contact for internal customers over Voice and Email Tickets, your role involves proactively monitoring the production environment compute, memory, disk, and storage of vSphere ESXi and vRealize Suite from VMware, OpenStack, and bare metal. This includes managing alerts through various monitoring tools, dashboards, and email, as well as BCP management. You will be responsible for creating and assigning tickets to appropriate teams and handling day-2 operations of database management such as backups, replication, and performance monitoring. Additionally, you will prepare reports for audits, compliance, patching, etc. Your knowledge in OS platforms like Windows, Linux, and Cloud technologies such as the VMWARE suite will be crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Proactively monitor production environment resources - Manage alerts through monitoring tools and dashboards - Create and assign tickets to appropriate teams - Handle day-2 operations of database management - Prepare reports for audits, compliance, patching, etc - Troubleshoot and escalate incidents in a timely manner - Work on tasks assigned by L3s and L2s - Stay updated on technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications Qualifications Required: - Knowledge in OS platforms (Windows, Linux, etc.) - Knowledge in Cloud technologies (VMWARE suite) - Hands-on experience in ticketing and monitoring systems (e.g., BMC suite- TSSA, REMEDY) - Knowledge in any one database technology (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Casandra) - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment - Proven time management skills and ability to manage change effectively - Ambitious individual with a creative approach to work and ability to work towards agreed targets/goals In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will be part of a collaborative environment that uses agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and innovative development with cutting-edge technologies.
