Job Description

Department: Product Development (Power Electronics) Reports to: Technical Lead- Product Development (Power Electronics) Job Summary: Motivated and detail-oriented System Engineer to contribute to the development and integration of advanced EV charging solutions. The role involves working on system-level architecture, specification, validation and support for AC and DC EV chargers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in power electronics and embedded systems with hands-on experience in product development from concept to deployment. Key Responsibilities: System Design & Integration: Support architecture definition and technical specifications for EV charging systems (AC/DC). Collaborate with hardware, software and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration. Assist in evaluating and selecting key components such as power modules, controllers and interfaces. Product Development & Validation: Participate in design reviews, requirement finalization and interface definition. Coordinate system-level testing including functional, electrical and environmental validations. Support firmware-hardware integration and diagnostics. Standards & Compliance: Ensure product design adheres to relevant standards (IEC 61851, ISO 15118, OCPP etc.). Work with certification bodies for EMI/EMC and safety compliance. Documentation & Support: Prepare system-level documentation including test reports, user manuals and technical notes. Provide technical assistance to the testing, manufacturing, and service teams during product lifecycle. Continuous Improvement: Engage in root-cause analysis and drive solutions for field or internal quality issues. Contribute to design optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement initiatives. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics / Embedded Systems. 5-7 years of experience in power electronics, preferably in EV chargers, power supplies or converters. Working knowledge of AC/DC conversion, charging protocols, EMI/thermal design and system safety. Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS), schematic/layout tools (e.g., Altium/OrCAD) and communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet). Exposure to standards like IEC 61851, ISO 15118, and OCPP is a plus. Strong analytical, documentation and interpersonal skills.
