Dear Candidate, Greetings from L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Ltd (Offshore)..! We are currently seeking experienced Offshore Design Engineers across various disciplines Piping, Instrumentation, Structural, Pipelines, and Electrical to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas sector at our Mumbai Office. Specifically in the areas of Design & Engineering (D&E) and Project Management (PMT, P&E). Major Roles and Responsibilities Manage EPC projects from conceptualization to commissioning, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning (ETC), and project management consultants. Develop detailed project plans using Primavera P6 software for scheduling and tracking progress against milestones. Conduct site visits to monitor progress against planned schedules and identify potential issues for mitigation. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical queries related to hydrocarbon processing plants. Below is an overview of the roles: Position: Offshore Design Engineer (All disciplines) Location: Mumbai Experience Required: 5 to 18 years in offshore design within the Oil & Gas industry Key Responsibilities: Piping Engineering: Design and analyse piping systems for Oil & Gas. Develop plant layouts, equipment placement, and piping schematics. Conduct stress analysis and material selection to optimize performance and reliability. Instrumentation Engineering: Design and implement instrumentation and control systems, including DCS, ESD, and F&G systems. Develop engineering drawings such as instrument location plans and loop diagrams. Collaborate with vendors and participate in site surveys to ensure system integrity and performance. Structural Engineering: Lead structural design activities for offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry codes. Oversee interfaces between structural engineering teams and other project disciplines. Provide technical guidance to contractors and participate in design workshops. Hands on experience in SACS software Pipeline Engineering: Develop scope of work, design philosophies, and criteria for pipeline systems, considering routing, hydraulics, and material selection. Perform integrity assessments and manage design reviews to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Electrical Engineering: Design electrical systems and equipment for offshore facilities, ensuring safe and reliable power distribution. Prepare electrical system layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with other systems. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Instrumentation Engineering. Experience: 5 to 18 years of relevant experience in offshore design engineering within the Oil & Gas sector. Technical Skills: Proficiency in design and analysis software pertinent to each discipline,. Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of offshore engineering principles, structural analysis, and industry-specific standards. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Mechanical Project Engineer: Responsibilities: Lead mechanical engineering aspects of offshore projects, including design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Develop and review mechanical specifications, drawings, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into overall project designs. Monitor mechanical system performance during project execution and address any technical issues promptly. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering within offshore oil and gas projects. Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis software. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills. Structural Project Engineer: Responsibilities: Oversee the design, analysis, and integrity of structural components in offshore facilities. Ensure structural designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate structural elements effectively. Conduct site inspections and assessments to validate structural integrity during construction and operation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. At least 8 years of experience in structural engineering for offshore projects. Expertise in structural analysis and design software. Excellent communication and project management skills. Instrumentation Project Engineer: Responsibilities: Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation systems used for monitoring and controlling offshore operations. Develop technical specifications and ensure instrumentation systems meet project requirements. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to integrate instrumentation systems effectively. Provide technical support during the operational phase to optimize system performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. Minimum of 8 years of experience in instrumentation engineering within the offshore oil and gas sector. Strong knowledge of instrumentation design and control systems. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex instrumentation issues. Electrical Project Engineer: Responsibilities: Lead the electrical engineering aspects of offshore projects, including power generation, distribution, and safety systems. Design electrical systems that comply with international standards and project specifications. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure electrical systems are integrated seamlessly. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on offshore platforms. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering for offshore oil and gas projects. Proficiency in electrical design and simulation software. Strong leadership and communication skills.
