You are:

• Proactive and accountableindependently managing all phases of architectural design, implementation, and integration while collaborating with leadership teams in Canada and across the globe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Design and architect complex IT systems, incorporating hardware, software, and network components to support diverse business requirements in hybrid and enterprise environments.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation and integration of system architectures such as client-server, n-tier, and microservices, ensuring seamless interoperability and optimal performance.
• Utilize advanced system modeling tools and methodologies to develop architectural blueprints and guide solution development.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions on major platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), applying deep knowledge of cloud architecture, service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and cost optimization strategies.
• Establish and enforce robust cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices across all projects.
• Apply expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, network and storage virtualization) to maximize infrastructure efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
• Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams globally, effectively communicating architectural concepts and technical strategies to both technical and executive audiences.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and refine system architectures, leveraging industry best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in IT performance.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

• In-depth knowledge of system architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex IT systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Understanding of different system architectures, such as client-server, n-tier, and microservices.
• Proficiency in system modeling tools and techniques.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and tools.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, including server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), network virtualization, and storage virtualization.
• Experience in designing and implementing virtualized environments.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and databases.
• Experience in designing and managing on-premises and hybrid IT infrastructures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in IT, including a minimum of 5 years leading large-scale, complex IT projects.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and deploying complex IT systems and infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and providing guidance on architectural best practices.
• Experience overseeing the full project lifecycle, from initial design and planning to final delivery.
• History of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, including business leaders and non-technical staff.

MUST HAVE'S

• Relevant industry certifications (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Must be comfortable working

  9 AM6 PM EST.

• Flexible to collaborate in other Canadian time zones occasionally
• Ability and flexibility to travel to Canada occasionally
• Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license
