SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

• Provide VMware support including incident and work requests within the virtualization infrastructure spanning multiple data centers, across multiple VMware ESX environments
• Configure and optimize the virtual infrastructure
• Working with change tools to maintain client SLAs
• Monitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirements
• Provide security compliance under relevant security policies
• Liaise on virtualization configuration with the storage systems manager and system administrators
• Provide support and advice to projects requiring IT platforms support;
• Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurring
• Proactively identify inefficiencies in operations with the objective of improving the quality of the working environment Requirements:
• Experience and demonstrated skills in systems administration which includes; 24x7 operations, Virtualization environments (VMware) across multiple VMware ESX environments, and Multiple data centers
• In depth knowledge in Windows Server 2003, 2003R2, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R2.
• Manage & Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure
• Manage & Maintain VMware infrastructure
• In depth knowledge in DNS, DHCP and file services
• Responsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by coordinating with Data centre engineers.
• Identify issues is Windows environment proactively.
• Troubleshooting and break-fix of issues in Windows
• Health check of Windows environment
• Responsible for managing McAfee ePO server & managing latest DAT versions on all client systems
• Responsible for applying security patches to windows servers using WSUS & SCCM tools
• Responsible for building & hardening windows servers
• Analyse server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidents
• Manage & maintain permissions on File servers & NAS shares

  SQL-Development Team/ Reports & Format Preparation

Key Skill/ Knowledge: (Required) :

• Install, Configure & manage.
• Expert knowledge on Virtualization: VMWare, Microsoft System Center HyperV Administration.
• Expert Knowledge on Microsoft troubleshooting skills and tools. Including OS Hardening and Vulnerability assessment.
• Knowledge of TCPIP, DHCP, DNS and Troubleshooting.
• Knowledge on TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, Power shell scripting.
• Knowledge of AD group policies.
