Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

System installation and maintenance:
Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, operating systems, and software.
Network management:
Ensure the network infrastructure is running correctly, and manage network file systems.
Security:
Implement and manage security protocols, perform security tests, and monitor for potential threats to protect data integrity.
User support:
Create and manage user accounts, set permissions, and provide technical support to end-users.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and network services.
Performance monitoring:
Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and tune systems for optimal performance.
Data management:
Perform regular data backups and recovery procedures.
Documentation:
Document system configurations, policies, and procedures.

Essential skills

Technical skills:
Expertise in operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS), networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Security knowledge:
A strong understanding of system and network security.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving:
Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems.
Backup and recovery:
Experience with backup and recovery tools.
Soft skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are crucial.

Desired Candidate Profile

3-5 years of experience in System Administration or related field.
Diploma in IT or ITI Certification in Information Communication Technology System Maintenance.
Strong knowledge of Server Administration (Windows Server), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management.
