applications JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Office Clerk (Accounts Assistant) Reports to : Admin Head/ Principal Role Overview : The Office Clerk (Accounts Assistant) will be responsible for handling day-to-day office and accounting tasks to ensure smooth financial and administrative operations of the school. The role involves managing fee collections, maintaining basic accounting records, assisting in payroll preparation, data entry in Tally, and supporting the administrative department in documentation and record management. Brief of Duties and responsibilities: - Manage daily fee collection, receipt issuance, and entry of transactions in Tally. Maintain student fee records and reconcile them with bank deposits. Assist in preparing payroll, attendance, and salary disbursement statements for staff. Handle petty cash transactions and maintain supporting vouchers. Support the Admin Head/Principal in budget tracking and expense monitoring. Assist in vendor bill processing, purchase entries, and payment follow-ups. Maintain accurate records of school accounts, ledgers and supporting documents. Coordinate with parents regarding fee dues, receipts and queries courteously. Prepare MIS reports related to accounts, fees and expenditures as required. Assist in maintaining statutory files such as PF, ESI, GST and audit-related documents. Support general office administration, filing and record-keeping. Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure compliance with school policies. Courteous and professional in interactions with staff, parents, and visitors. Honest, responsible, and reliable in handling office work. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Qualifications & Experience: - on-Educational: Bachelors degree in commerce (B.Com) or equivalent discipline. Diploma or certification in computer applications. Knowledge of basic accounting and office management. -Experience: 24 years of experience in clerical, accounting, fee management, or office support roles (preferably in an educational institution). -Key Skills & Competencies: Accuracy and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Office (especially Excel). Integrity, confidentiality, and accountability in handling financial records. Ability to work collaboratively with the administration and teaching staff. Selection Process Initial screening/interview with HR Written test- General English and IT knowledge Final interview with Principal & School Management
