System Administrator

Role Overview: As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for providing technical support for hardware and software issues encountered by users. You will manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems, monitor the system daily for security and usability concerns, create and verify backups of data, respond to help desk requests, and upgrade systems for enhanced functionality and security resolution. Additionally, you will administrate infrastructure, review application logs, install and test computer-related equipment, and troubleshoot various IT-related issues. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support for hardware and software issues - Manage client-based computer operating systems - Monitor system daily for security and usability concerns - Create and verify backups of data - Respond to and resolve help desk requests - Upgrade systems for enhanced functionality and security resolution - Administrate infrastructure including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes - Review application logs - Install and test computer-related equipment - Troubleshoot various IT-related issues such as LAN troubleshooting, VC-related issues, projector-related issues, and remote access VPN software configuration - Manage inventory and coordinate with OEMs and vendors for resolving IT-related issues - Provide IT support to an organization with 100-200 users both onsite and remotely Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of experience in system administration - Knowledge of Windows Client OS (10) and basic knowledge of Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019) - Familiarity with MS Outlook & MS Office (2010 & Office 365) - Experience in remote access VPN software configuration - Ability to troubleshoot various IT-related issues - Associate or higher degree in a related field such as BCA/BE/B.Tech/BCOM with Diploma in Computers & Networks or relevant certifications like MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, and VMWare - Extensive experience with VMware - Understanding of system vulnerabilities and security issues - Basic knowledge of insurance goals and practices - Very good communication skills in English - Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis Note: No additional details about the company are mentioned in the job description.,
