Job Description

As an experienced Inspector, your role will involve reviewing applicable contractual requirements such as technical standards and specifications. You will be responsible for highlighting any execution or inspection problems that may arise during the process. Key Responsibilities: - Conducting inspection of Pressure Vessels and components (Filters, Boilers, Storage Tanks, etc.) from the raw material stage to the final stage, in accordance with different codes and standards like ASME Sec-VIII. - Reviewing documents including QAP, WPS, PQR, WPQR, NDT procedures, material identification, applicable testing, and stage-wise inspection of welding and fabrication processes. - Performing final inspections which may involve leakage testing by hydraulic and pneumatic means. - Inspecting Piping for Process Plants, including stage-wise inspection, components inspection, dimensional checks, and spool inspection at fabricator sites. - Inspecting Pipes and Tubes such as ERW and SS pipes according to ASTM, IS, and API standards. This includes activities from the raw material stage to final inspection, involving various testing methods. - Inspecting piping components like Flanges, Fittings, Valves, Pumps, and conducting various testing activities as per applicable piping codes and product standards. - Inspecting Castings of critical jobs like Shafts & Roller assemblies, Gears, Mill Heads. This includes activities like Raw Material Identification, Applicable physical & chemical Testing, U.T. in proof machined condition, M.P.I., D.P.T. - Inspecting Steel structures for hydro power plants, including structural parts of hydropower projects like radial gates, spillway stop logs, surge shaft, trash racks, etc. This involves M.P.I., D.P.T., and UT of parts. - Selecting the most appropriate inspection techniques and providing monitoring, coaching, and supervision to one or more inspectors. - Conducting Vendor Assessments which include audit activities on documentation and quality control aspects at vendor sites, analysis of NC follow-ups, and effectiveness of QMS implementation. Subsequent Vendor Rating based on observations. - Coordinating and managing projects which includes preparation and implementation of inspection checklists, project coordination for inspection of bought-out items, and site inspections for various projects. Qualification Required: - Relevant experience in inspection of Pressure Vessels, Piping, Castings, and Steel structures. - Familiarity with codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, IS, and API. - Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and procedures. - Experience in vendor assessments and project coordination. - Excellent communication and coordination skills.
