Designation: Assistant Engineer Updated: May 12, 2025 Location: Jharkhand, India Organization: Metals Job Description: Key Result Areas/Accountabilities Supporting Actions 1) Business Excellence ? Measuring excavation area, over burden, topsoil, laterite accurately with respect to the mines. ? Overseeing removal of over burden, topsoil, laterite as per mining plan. ? Overseeing implementations of SOPs in all aspects of operation under jurisdiction. 2) Cost ? Implementing budgets and achieving cost saving without compromising delivery by driving continuous process improvement across area of operation. ? Certifying work accurately to optimise cost. 3) Cash ? Improving profitability by optimum deployment of contractors 4) Customer ? Collaborating with operations team and contractors to make mines free of topsoil, over burden and laterite and ready for excavation of bauxite as per mining plan ? Minimizing response time in providing information and solutions to all internal and external customers 5) Sustainability ? Implementing all statutory compliance within timelines by submitting the following to the Director General of Mine Safety (DGMS) on a quarterly basis: o surface plan o geological plan o water danger plan ? Implementing compliance of Integrated Management system and Energy Management System ? Overseeing good housekeeping practices in area under jurisdiction ? Partnering in green initiatives 6) Safety ? Implementing Safety standards to achieve zero harm through implementation of safety standards such as LOTOTO, HIRA, 5S. ? Monitoring implementation of safety related training 7) People development and engagement ? Monitoring intake and deployment of physically fit and appropriately trained contractual workforce and ensuring their continuous training and wellbeing as per company guidelines. ? Monitoring implementation of contract management. Qualifications: Other Degree,Diploma Minimum Experience Level: 2-5 Years Report to: Deputy Manager
