Job Title: Production Support Engineer (Data Engineering)

Key Responsibilities

Execute end-to-end L1 & L2 production support, ensuring stable, secure, and high-performing data pipelines and analytics workloads.

Monitor, triage, and troubleshoot incidents with a structured approach to service recovery and SLA adherence.

Own and deliver automation initiatives to streamline support workflows, reduce manual interventions, and uplift operational maturity.

Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.

Collaborate with development, platform engineering, DevOps, and QA teams to drive seamless environment synchronization and deployment readiness.

Manage ETL schedules, job orchestration, and data workflow validations across the production ecosystem.

Maintain comprehensive documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge repositories to support scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

5-8 years of experience in Production Support (L1 & L2), preferably in data engineering or analytics environments.

Strong proficiency in Python, with proven ability to develop automation scripts and operational tooling.

Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks/tools and orchestrated workflow environments.

Solid knowledge of Snowflake for troubleshooting, optimization, and platform monitoring.

Demonstrated experience in automation within support operations (e.g., automated health checks, self-healing workflows, automated RCA artifacts, job recovery scripts).

Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with a customer-centric approach.

Experience with Kafka for data streaming and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of Dynatrace and Kubernetes is a strong plus.

Work Arrangement

Candidate is expected to work 5 days from office.

Must be available during US EST business hours, aligned with India working hours.

Candidate will be suitably incentivized for this shift requirement.
